Title:
PRR 2302, EF-25, 1965
Description:
Rainy. Here is an original telephoto that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 12 October 1965. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2302, #2547, #2529, and #2324. All are rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2302 is an EF-25 built by GM-EMD in November of 1964. #2547 and #2529 are GF-25's built by General Electric; #2547 was built in March of 1965, but #2529 was built in September of 1964. #2324 is an EF-25 built by GM-EMD in January of 1965. They've come down the East Slope of the Allegheny Mountains with a 117-car merchandise freight and will soon pass under the 7th Street Bridge on their way to the Enola Yards. (#15 of 21)

Title:
PRR 2302, EF-22, 1966
Description:
Horseshoe Curve-1966. Here is an original photo that I took at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, in May of 1966. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2302, #2501, and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. #2302 is an EF-22 built by GM-EMD in November of 1964 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. #2501 is a GF-25 built by General Electric in August of 1962 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. In this context, they're passing under four-track Signal Bridge 2416/7 with a merchandise freight train on their way up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West. (#4 of 39)
